Mega Deals Rules

These Rules for Mega Deals (“Rules”) set out the various rules and procedures that apply when you enter the Raffle Draw.

By entering the Raffle Draw, you expressly agree to be bound by these Rules. We also have separate Terms & Conditions and a Privacy Policy, which we recommend that you read and understand before entering. Copies of the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy can be found on the Mega Deals Website and Mobile App, when available.

These Rules, the Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Mega Deals in relation to your entry into the Raffle Draw. The Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy documents are hereby incorporated into, and form part of, these Rules. By entering the Raffle Draw, you agree to be legally bound by the Mega Deals Terms & Conditions, Rules, and Privacy Policy.


1. Definitions and Interpretation

1.1 In these Rules, all capitalized words and expressions shall have the following meanings:

  • Account: An online account maintained by a Customer on the Central Computer System, containing personal information and all other relevant details necessary for purchasing products, adding credits to the Wallet Balance, entering a draw, and withdrawing winnings.

  • QAR: Qatari Riyal.

  • Authorised Financial Institution: Any banking organization or financial institution authorized by Mega Deals to pay certain Prizes.

  • Authorised Mega Deals Retailer: Any person, firm, or entity authorized by Mega Deals to sell its Products and/or Services.

  • Central Computer System: The system that manages Mega Deals and pays Prizes. It allows the Customer to enter into the Draw and manage their Account and winnings.

  • Claimant: A Customer who submits a claim to withdraw winning funds from their Winning Balance in accordance with these Rules.

  • Cookie Policy: The Mega Deals Cookie Policy, a copy of which is available on the Mega Deals Website or Mobile App.

  • Content: Any and all text, images, audio, video, scripts, code, software, databases, and any other form of information capable of being stored on a computer that appears on or forms part of the Platform.

  • Credits: An amount held in the Wallet Balance to be used to participate in the draw(s).

  • Customer, You, or Your: A member of the public who intends to purchase, or has purchased, a Product and/or Service offered by The Qatari Company.

  • Customer Service Centre: The Mega Deals Customer Service Centre can be contacted on +97440196946 or by sending an email to customerservice@megadeals.qa.

  • Draw: A Mega Deals draw, the result of which is determined by either a Drawing through a Random Number Generator (RNG) or Raffle ticket drum.

  • Draw Manager: An employee of Mega Deals responsible for organizing and managing each Draw.

  • Draw Procedures: A set of best practice procedures used to ensure each Draw is conducted fairly and consistently, in line with any government requirements.

  • Raffle ID: A purchase recorded as a Raffle ID on the Central Computer System.

  • Government Representative: A representative from the Government of Qatar who attends the Raffle draws to ensure the Draws are conducted fairly and transparently.

  • Immediate Family Members: Personal partner (including spouse and/or qualified domestic partner) and persons supported by someone mentioned in Rule 2.3, who live in the same household.

  • Legal Disclaimer: A written statement disclaiming all liability by the Owner and denying responsibility for any harm resulting from entering a Draw.

  • Manager, Owner, Our, We or Us: The Qatari Company, a Limited Liability Company incorporated in Qatar, under License number 208130.

  • Mobile App: The Mega Deals mobile phone application (when available), which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

  • Order Confirmation: An email confirming that a Raffle ID has been generated for a specific Draw, forming a legally binding contract between The Company and the Customer.

  • Participant: The individual registered as the holder of the Account.

  • Password: The alphanumeric and special character identifier used by a customer to access their Account.

  • Platform: The Mega Deals Website and Mobile App (when available) and its associated Content.

  • Purchase: A purchase recorded as a Raffle ID on the Central Computer System.

  • Privacy Policy: The Mega Deals Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available on the Mega Deals Website or Mobile App.

  • Prize: A prize won by a Customer through the Draw.

  • Product/Service: An approved Mega Deals product and/or service available for purchase online or from an Authorised Mega Deals Retailer.

  • Raffle: The Draw.

  • Random Number Generator (RNG): A certified system that generates random numbers based on some physical attribute of the environment.

  • Rules: These Mega Deals Rules.

  • Terms: The Mega Deals Terms and Conditions, available on the Mega Deals Website or Mobile App.

  • Wallets: Mega Deals has two electronic Wallets to manage Customer participation. The Wallet Balance stores Credits to purchase products, and the Winning Balance stores winnings from the Raffle.

1.2 Unless the context otherwise requires, words in the singular shall include the plural, and in the plural, shall include the singular.

1.3 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the various documents set out above, the order of precedence is: (1) the Terms & Conditions; (2) the Rules; and (3) the Privacy Policy.

1.4 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English and Arabic versions of these Rules, the English version of these Rules shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.


2. Participating in the Draws

2.1 Mega Deals Products and/or Services will be available for purchase from Authorised Mega Deals Retailers and through the Platform.

2.2 Each purchased Mega Deals Product and/or Service provides you with one complimentary Raffle ID for the Draw.

2.2.1 The company does not permit returns or exchanges for purchased products. However, in the case of a defective or damaged product, the company will comply with the consumer protection laws of the State of Qatar.

2.3 You may only enter the Draw if you:

a) are at least 18 years of age at the time of purchase;

b) are not prohibited or restricted from entering the Draw under the laws of the jurisdiction of your residence or the jurisdiction in which you are located when entering;

c) at all times abide by these Rules, the Terms & Conditions, and the Privacy Policy;

d) are not:

  • a Manager, employee, or Immediate Family Member of Mega Deals;

  • a Manager or employee of an affiliated company;

  • the Government Representative or the Draw Manager;

  • a third party, contractor, or consultant of the Manager engaged to review the insurance, audit, and security procedures related to the Draw.

2.4 You may purchase a Mega Deals Product and/or Service from any of the following:

a) an Authorised Mega Deals Retailer;

b) online via the Mega Deals Website or Mobile App, and you will receive a Raffle ID upon completion of the purchase;

c) the Mega Deals showroom.

2.4.1 The Customer should collect their product within 30 days of the date of purchase.

2.4.2 The product will be delivered to the Customer within 30 days from the date of purchase.

2.5 All successful Raffle IDs will be acknowledged via email, in-Platform messages, and, where relevant, a push notification.

2.6 If you do not receive an acknowledgement of your Raffle ID, it may not have been recorded on the Central Computer System for the relevant Draw and therefore may not be valid. In such cases, check your Account to see if your Raffle ID has been registered. If you cannot see it, contact the Mega Deals Customer Service Centre by telephone or email.


3. Conduct of the Draw

3.1 We will determine the time, frequency, date, and method of the Draw.

3.2 Each Draw will be made using an internationally certified Random Number Generator, which will be audited at the time of the Draw.

3.3 All Draws will be conducted in accordance with Mega Deals' Draw Procedures and in the presence of the Draw Manager, as well as a Government Representative.


4. Results

4.1 All winnings from the Raffle will be transferred to the Customer’s Winning Balance. If it is a non-cash prize (e.g., a physical item), the winner will be notified by email and SMS of their physical prize winnings. The winner must collect their physical prize from the company’s head office.

4.2 The winning Raffle ID for each Draw will be made available on the Platform and through the Mega Deals Customer Service Centre as soon as possible after each Draw.

4.3 You will not be entitled to claim compensation, and we will not be liable for any errors contained in any announcement or publication, whether typographical, printing, or otherwise, or any publication or announcement of the amount of the Prizes in a Draw (where the announcement or publication is made before the amount to be paid in Prizes is finalized).

4.4 In the event of a discrepancy between the Winning Raffle ID published on the Platform and/or other announcement or publication and the official Winning Raffle ID contained on the Central Computer System, the latter shall prevail.

4.5 All Prize winners will be notified by email, in-Platform messages, and, where relevant, push notifications.

4.6 For non-Qatar resident winners, federal and jurisdictional income taxes may apply to any monetary Prize.


5. Payment of Prizes

5.1 Prior to the payment of a Prize, the Customer may be validated according to Mega Deals Customer validation procedures (KYC), including screening against the International Embargoed and Sanctions List. Our decision as to the validity of a Raffle ID is final and binding.

5.2 In addition, prior to a Prize being paid, you may be required to provide:

5.2.1 full identification documentation; and/or

5.2.2 a statutory declaration as to ownership, entitlement, and compliance with relevant laws.

5.3 We will only pay a Prize based on the official Winning Raffle ID of the relevant Draw recorded in line with Mega Deals Rules and will not pay a Prize based on results recorded elsewhere.

5.4 Subject to verification of identity, proof of age, and Raffle ID validation, the Prize will be paid to the Claimant.

5.5 Payment of the Prize to the Claimant (or their authorized representative) shall fully and effectively discharge Mega Deals, its officers, employees, representatives, contractors, and any person or firm authorized by us to pay Prizes, from any further liability for payment of that Prize.

5.6 We reserve the right to:

5.6.1 withhold a Prize until we are satisfied that a Raffle ID is valid and/or the Claimant is lawfully entitled to payment of a Prize;

5.6.2 request proof of entitlement to a Prize (including, without limitation, identification information, proof of identity, residency, or location when entering Draws, and capacity to claim);

5.7 We reserve the right to declare a Raffle ID invalid (and will not, therefore, be obliged to pay any Prize) if:

5.7.1 We reasonably believe that the Claimant is not the holder of the relevant Account, or that the information provided by the Claimant is incomplete or has been altered or tampered with;

5.7.2 The Raffle ID has been tampered with in whole or in part or fails to pass our validation and security tests; or

5.7.3 The Raffle ID is defective, in whole or in part.

5.8 We reserve the right to refuse and will not be liable to pay a Customer a Prize if:

5.8.1 the Customer does not meet the eligibility criteria; or

5.8.2 he is unable or fails to supply the necessary identification documentation when claiming a Prize.

5.8.3 If a Prize is paid to anyone who does not meet such eligibility criteria, that person will be obliged to repay the Prize immediately upon our request. We reserve the right to recover any incorrectly paid Prize.

5.9 We will not be responsible or liable for any person claiming a Prize that has been paid to someone who assumed the identity of the relevant Account holder.

5.10 Under no circumstances will interest be payable on any Prize.

5.11 Prizes will be paid in full only to the registered holder of the Account with the winning Raffle ID, unless you are a person with a legal, physical, or other disability and are claiming a Prize, where, in these circumstances, we may pay the Prize to your authorized representative.

5.12 In the event of the death of a Claimant, a person can claim on behalf of such deceased Claimant’s estate where they can prove, to our satisfaction, that they are entitled to make such a claim (for example, by providing a grant of probate).

5.13 All cash Prizes will be paid in QAR in the amount advised by us as the final amount payable for that winning Raffle ID.

5.14 All Physical Prize winners from outside Qatar will have the option to be paid in cash the amount advised by us as the final amount payable for that winning Raffle ID.

5.15 Winners may withdraw at least QAR 500, with the option of transferring it to their bank account or collecting it from our designated exchange house.


6. Winners’ Information

By taking part in the Draw, you accept that we may disclose relevant personal details about you. We may also, if required by law or pursuant to the terms of our partners, provide a third party with your details and the details of any Prize claimed by you, on your behalf, or paid to you.


7. Draw Postponement

If Mega Deals deems it reasonable to do so, we may delay a Draw for as long as we believe it to be appropriate in the circumstances. In these instances, Customers will be permitted to enter the Draw beyond the normal times for that Draw.


8. Draw Closure

We can, at our absolute discretion, announce the closure, withdrawal, or suspension of the Raffle Draw at any time. No Raffle IDs for the Raffle Draw will be accepted after such time.

Customers who held a Raffle ID for the closed or suspended Draw will be issued a new ID for the upcoming Draw.


9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Our only obligation is to pay the Prizes won in any Draw to the rightful owners of winning Raffle IDs. We will not be liable in any circumstances for any loss of whatever nature other than the non-payment of a prize to the rightful owners of winning Raffle IDs.

9.2 We shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any loss, direct or consequential, or damage incurred by any customer or any other person arising from the participation of any person in the Draw. In particular, but without prejudice to the generality of this rule, we shall not be liable to any person for:

a) Events beyond our reasonable control and expectations (for example, without limitation, war, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, power cut, and/or failure or obstruction of any network, broadcasting or telecommunications service);

b) Failure or destruction of, or damage to, all or part of the Central Computer System or our records or any third party;

c) Any mistakes caused by all or part of the Central Computer System, our records, or any third party;

d) Delays, losses, mistakes, or omissions in or made by the banking system;

e) Any other action or event which prevents or hinders the issue of a valid Raffle ID (including, without limitation, the failure of the Platform to display correctly on any device used to view it).

9.3 Nothing in these Rules excludes or limits

(a) any person's liability

(i) for fraud; or

(ii) for death or personal injury caused by a breach of any duty that person may have to take reasonable care or exercise reasonable skill; or    

(b) any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.


10. General

10.1 The reasonable exercise by us of any discretion provided for by these Rules, including with respect to the determination of a winning Raffle ID or payment of a prize, will be final and binding unless otherwise provided by law.

10.2 In the event that a dispute arises, we may withhold payment of a prize and/or make an equivalent payment in the court until it has been resolved.

10.3 If any provision (or part thereof) in any of these Rules is decided by a court of competent jurisdiction to be void and/or unenforceable, that decision will only affect the particular provision (or part thereof) and will not, in itself, make the other provisions void or unenforceable.

10.4 You may not assign or otherwise transfer (in whole or in part) your rights and/or obligations under these Rules, including, for the avoidance of doubt, the right to a prize. Any assignment or transfer by you will be null and void. We may assign or transfer our rights and/or obligations under these Rules in whole or in part to any third party at our sole discretion.

10.5 Except if we assign or transfer our rights and/or obligations under these Rules, a person who is not a party to these Rules has no right to enforce any provision of these Rules.

10.6 We may amend these Rules from time to time. Such amendments or changes will be applicable and contractually binding with effect from the date of their publication on the Platform or on notification to you that changes have taken place, whichever is sooner, and will apply to Raffle IDs made after the date on which the changes become effective, and/or Raffle IDs made before that date if reasonable in the circumstances. If we change these Rules, you will be notified the next time you access your Account.

10.7 An account holder can make purchases of up to QAR 10,000 per transaction.

10.8 An account holder can add a maximum of QAR 10,000 to their Wallet per transaction.

10.9 An account holder can transfer a maximum of QAR 1,000 per transaction to another account holder's account.

10.10 The winning balance of up to QAR 5,000 can be withdrawn through an exchange house. Amounts exceeding this limit must be transferred to a bank account.


11. Law

11.1 The relevant law for these Rules is the laws of the State of Qatar, and any legal proceedings will be heard at its courts.
